Don’t you just love it when you wear a piece of jewellery that brings compliments flooding in throughout your day?
Well, we certainly do. And the Highlands have plenty of wonderful places where you can discover that ‘must-have’ piece. One such place is Virginia Ransom Jewellery at 397 Bong Bong Street in Bowral… her work is fabulous!
Virigina first made and sold jewellery when she was at school in Sydney. She then went on to be a fashion designer and was a successful entrepreneur of her own fashion accessory business in the 1980s. Now she has returned to jewellery, designing her own range of contemporary jewels in her own studio in Bowral… how lucky are we?
Virigina Ransom Jewellery also offer a repair and restringing service and supply to galleries and gift shops around Australia.

Wine, cheese and antiques – what a pleasant combination!
This wonderful collection of things to enjoy can be found at the Mount Ashby Estate in Moss Vale.
Mount Ashby Estate offers all of the above and more. Through the cellar door you can enjoy the complete range of wines from the vineyard at the estate, plus enjoy a lunch and see some of the restored French antique furniture of owner Sally Beresford. As well as this, the property still supports cattle, has one of the largest private plantations of Gingkyo in Australia and specialises in the restoration of Provincial 17th – 19th Century antiques sourced from France and other parts of Europe… Oh and, of course, they also produce their own wine!
So, if you aren’t up to anything today, why not head down to the cellar door and warm yourself up with a nice red and ‘indulge in a golden moment at Mount Ashby Estate’.
